a wonderful site !! really reflects your good work. My Daughter has really enjoyed her time here.

At one time there were a lot of leadership changes in a very short space of time which was difficult for the Brownies.

However, Mel has turned the pack around since she took over. My daughter first met her when she taught briefly at her school, and instantly took to her warmth. The girls feel valued and listened to, my friends (who have 2 daughters in a different pack) constantly note the vast differences between the packs.

As a sixer she is allowed to plan badges in her little group, teach games to the whole pack, take the register, and in many ways act as a leader. this has really helped develop her confidence and she loves to plan ideas to take to Brownies. 2 or 3 ideas that she has had for games/ crafts and even an outing were taken on board and used!! you cannot imagine her pleasure, especially as mel let her help with the planning for it.

My daughter has done pond dipping, nature trails, archery, night time games, campfires, fancy dress parties, a sleepover, a pack holiday, a zoo trip, water fights, cooking, an insect hunt, a fancy dress picnic, a panto trip, christmas disco, a victorian dressing up evening and museum trip, star gazing, crafts, barbeques, i could go on ( and that is just the past year!!). keep it up!
not to mention, the lovely leaving book each girl gets ( I saw a friends and it was really special, logging EVERY activity her daughter had taken part in with photos of everything! - I really think that demonstrates the extra care and effort taken here.
I am sorry that this post is so long but I am really pleased to have the chance to publicly acknowledge your achievements.

Thought i'd look in mel to see what all the fuss was about. lovely site, you run this pack so beautifully and my daughter really does love coming. If the powers that be are watching, i would just like to say that the activities and outings are excellent, the girls all love mel and i could honestly bot find a bad word to say about any of it! thank you i only hope that guides will be as rewarding for her later in the year.

Brilliant site. would be quite nice if there could be an archive of old activities and photos from years gone by in case Charmaine now 19 Fifi now 15 and Phillomen now 12. my girls have all been to this pack over the years and my youngest sally-ann 9 has enjoyed it the most since mel took over and of all 4 of my little girl smashers she has enjoyed it the most well done mel keep up the good work the way little sal goes on your a natural leader ... . If only the Scouts were as much fun. jean-phillipe (13) Sebastian (11) and Alessandrous (9) are all very jealous because they did not enjoy scouts or beavers as much as little sal enjoys her tuesdays. the week doesn`t end quickly enough for my little smasher. Really good thanks for all your hard work.

i have always been impressed at how this Brownie pack is run (my older daughter attended a different pack). At this pack, my daughter has had opportunities that my older girl never had, pond dipping, archery, sleepovers, holidays, nature trails, swimming days ... i could go on) well done Mel, I wish you more success with your pack, this website is a further sign of your professional abilities. If only more packs were like this!
